Let it snow, Let it snow...

Check out my business page. These signs are custom and make great wedding, shower, or just that special someone gifts. Great for Valentines Day! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Vinylsignsandmore122?ref=pr_shop_more

Today has been a very productive day for me. I dropped the kids off at school this morning and went grocery shopping, which desperately needed to be done. It started snowing right as I left the grocery store around 11 and it is suppose to snow throughout the night. I'm really not one for snow, but I an really excited to build a snow man with the kids tomorrow. Maybe we will even go sledding!

A juiced some green juice today. Cucumbers, Pears, and Celery. It was a tad green tasting but all in all, good. I'll have to update a few juicing photo's soon. Tonight we have a few friends coming over and we are going to play some Kinect dance on x-box. Should be a really good time!

Today Nathan said something cute. He has repeated it a few times, so leads me to believe his teacher does it at school as well to get the kids attention. So...when he's trying to get my attention and I'm pre-occupied with something else he says "mom, look at my nose!" As soon as I look at his nose he asks me whatever he needed too. How cute is that?! He sure is smart! He knows how to get my attention!

My better self.

Today's been a pretty easy day. The kids had a nice breakfast and painted picture's this morning. All of us have been in a great mood today! The kids had a bath and watched a Disney movie after. I made a few video's today with all the photo's from last year, I will post them soon!

So lately when making personal decisions I have been asking myself this question ... is this really good for my heart and my soul? As strange as a question as that is, I really think it is something we all should ask ourselves daily. Especially when making everyday decisions. If it is beneficial in a positive way and it will make you a better individual then do it.  I've been working out a lot lately, signed up for a few 5k's and mud runs, and I recently started juicing my fruits and vegetables. These few decisions that I have made for myself are truly good for my heart and my soul. All of these things make me feel awesome about myself. There are many things that I did growing up that were not that bright, I know I should have thought decisions out more and weighed their benefits ... but rather than sit and dwell on them and wish I had done things differently in my life and wish things were different, I have decided to push forward and be "my better self."

A whole year has passed

An entire year has passed since I have blogged. I have to make a promise to myself that this will not happen again!

The kids have grown so much! Nathan has really caught up with Kate. They are both in preschool now and they weigh a pound off from each other. Kaitlyn has grown to have a real fascination with animals. One of her favorite channels to watch on TV is Nat Gio Wild. She can sit and tell me about all kinds of animals and what they do.... I can tell its going to follow her as she grows! Nathan, he looks up to Kate. He repeats a lot of what she does and says. He is my little cuddle bug. He is absolutely obsessed with Buzz Light Year and basically anything that has to do with Toy Story. His favorite words are " To Infinity and Beyond! "
As for me, I've been working out in the gym a lot and I also started juicing. I watched a documentary that really inspired me called " Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." I was floored on how those two men changed their lives with juicing. It is extremely important for me to try and follow a healthy lifestyle. It is so much easier said than done. Takes a TON of self discipline and it is definitely not easy at all.

Here are some picture's from throughout 2011

January 25,2011

This past weekend was a long one since I opened up a virus on my computer... so needless to say my entire business was put on hold. Not cool! All from facebook too...Thank the Lord for my brother Mike for fixing my computer! I was seriously lost without it.

The kids have been keeping me busy as usual. Both have colds right now so they are a little on the crabby side. I kept Kaitlyn home from the sitters house on Friday because she was running a 103 fever and then kept her home today as well. I think she's ready to go back tomorrow. She's been body slamming her brother for the past 20 minutes...so that tells me she is feeling better haha.

Nathan surprised me today and started singing the ABC's. It was soooo adorable! The smile that was on my face was priceless. He is really moving along on his talking. His personality is one in a million.

I have to write quick today as I have a Anatomy and Physiology test to study for and the kids are running mad right now!

Happy Tuesday!

Friday January 14, 2011

Kaitlyn is a typical soon to be 4 year old and is getting smarter and smarter everyday. She is my talker and is constantly asking questions and learning everyday. She is currently attending preschool and is excelling very fast. She just learned how to write K for Kaitlyn. So I've been finding her little K drawings all over papers in the house. Most writings say KKK...to funny! She loves to play pretend and has such a BIG imagination! She's definitely a little mommy! She lines all her little stuffed animals and dolls up in a row and plays pretend. Definitely a precious thing to watch. Kaitlyn has always been my healthy eater. She will pick fruits and vegetables over anything any day. Getting her to eat her meats is a challenge so I usually have to bribe her with a cookie.

Nathan is my little tank. He was just born big! He was 8 pounds 11 oz. and has been growing ever since! He is my mommas boy and little cuddle bug. He still has his pacifier which has been hard to try to brake him of. I'm hoping to do this in the next month. He is the sweetest little boy I know and I am so happy to be his mommy. He is just getting into the terrible 2's. I wouldn't say they are terrible but more so "busy". He's talking up a storm but doesn't speak as clearly as Kate does. He calls Kaitlyn "alley" and water "lello". It's cute. He is into his cars, trucks, and trains...and loves to play like a boy!

Today was a good day. Kris worked and had the chiropractor. I had my state exam for my CNA class. The kids were at the sitters today so most of my day was spent cleaning the house and organizing. This is my last weekend before my classes start again. So I'm trying to catch up on everything with the house before I'm slammed with Anatomy and psych homework. I received a few more orders on my Etsy website so I've also spent a few hours designing signs. Those of you who know me...know that we run a small business out of our home. I have been artistic my entire life. I went to school for computer graphic designing a few years ago and my husband has a degree in it as well. I've been drawing since I learned how to write with a pencil. I have binders and binders saved of all my drawings as a kid. I was winning drawing contests as young as 6. So it all comes very easy to me! =)
Tonight I made pork chops! They were delicious, and I thank my mother Penny for the awesome recipe! We are settling in for the night and catching up on some shows that have been DVR'd. Kaitlyn is still up...she's currently laying on the living room floor watching all dogs go to heaven on my i-phone. Looks like it's time for me to get her in bed! Gonna leave you with a few fun picture's of the kids.

My very first blog

Hi! My name is Nicole and I am a 28 year old wife and mother of 2 beautiful children. Kaitlyn my 3 1/2 year old daughter and Nathan my 2 year old son! I was laid off in June from a company that I was working with for 4 1/2 years. So ever since I have become what most would call " a house wife or homemaker." My husband and I just recently got married on Oct 2nd, 2010! And right now things  are going very well for us!  When I was laid off I decided that I would go back to school to finish my college education and I love going to school. I currently just took my state test for my CNA and I start school again on Monday. I am going for Nursing and it's what I've always wanted to do with my life. Things are finally starting to fall into place for me.

My husband and I have been together going on 6 years this march and married for 3 months. Last year we opened our own business building bean bag boards and we also make home decor signs for the home! If your interested on looking at our work you can visit us on etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Vinylsignsandmore122 ! It's something that I love to do!!!
